Brandon King is a founding member of Cooperation Jackson, an organization whose aim is to build a solidarity economy in Jackson, Mississippi, anchored by a network of cooperatives and worker-owned, democratically self-managed enterprises. He is a member of the executive committee, an anchor for Freedom Farms Urban Farming Cooperative, and resident DJ for their Center for Economic Democracy and Sustainable Development (Farmer/DJ). As a DJ and cultural worker, brandon sees the arts and culture as key components necessary to energize and active people to be engaged in the process of actualizing human rights and transforming the world around them.
