Hillary Lazar is an educator, organizer, and writer who has been involved in social justice struggles since the 1990s. In addition to directing a national anti-poverty initiative, Hillary has also been part of numerous worker cooperatives and co-founded a community-based, popular education organization. She is currently an instructor for the Institute for Advanced Troublemaking, on the speaker's bureau for the Institute for Anarchist Studies, and an advisor for Agency: An Anarchist PR Project. Her recent writing focuses on the “anarchist turn”in 21st century mobilizations and past work has been published in Perspectives on Anarchist Theory and book projects including Anarchism: A Conceptual Approach.
