Biography: 

Margaret Flowers is a pediatrician from Baltimore who left practice in 2007 to advocate for single payer, national improved Medicare for all health care. Flowers is an adviser to the board of Physicians for a National Health Program, co-founder of the Maryland Health Care is a Human Right campaign and national coordinator of the Health Over Profit for Everyone (HOPE) campaign. Flowers also co-directs PopularResistance.org, a daily movement news website, and co-hosts Clearing the FOG. In addition to news, Popular Resistance organizes and collaborates on issue campaigns for racial, economic and environmental justice and peace. Flowers is a national co-chair of the Green Party US, a member of the coordinating committee of the Maryland Green Party and a former Green Party candidate for US Senate.
